You’ve probably heard people talk about aura colors or energy fields—but what is aura photography, really? It’s a way to actually see your energy. Aura photography gives you a visual snapshot of your energetic field in real time, using biofeedback technology to map your aura, chakras, and subtle energy flow.
At The Healing Place, we use the AuraCloud 3D system to capture your energy as it’s happening—offering insight, clarity, or simply something new to reflect on.
What Happens During an Aura Photography Session
During the session, you’ll place your hand on a sensor while a specialized camera captures your image. The system reads your biofeedback—things like temperature and changes in skin response—and creates a digital representation of your aura and chakra activity.
You’ll see your image surrounded by shifting colors, with chakra data displayed below. The software generates a detailed report, and we’ll go through it together so you have a clear understanding of what’s showing up and what it might mean.
Sessions usually last about 20 to 30 minutes. There’s time to look at the image together, go over what the colors and chakra indicators might mean, and answer any questions that come up. You’ll also receive a digital report you can refer back to later.
What the Colors Might Mean
No two images are the same—and that’s what keeps this process so alive. Some people show strong bands of red or orange. Others come in with deep blues and greens. (And yes, sometimes amber really is the color of your energy.)
But there’s no one-size-fits-all interpretation.
The report gives you general insight into the meanings, and we can talk about how those may—or may not—resonate with what’s going on in your life right now.
Seeing your own energy in color can land in ways that words sometimes don’t.

Why People Choose to Do It
People come in for all kinds of reasons. Sometimes it’s during a big transition. Other times, it’s just curiosity. Some use it to mark a moment—when something has shifted, or when it just feels like the right time to check in with themselves in a new way.
Often, people find that just seeing their energy visually gives them a different kind of reflection than journaling or talking. It’s another mirror. Sometimes it’s validating. Sometimes it opens up something new.
A Few Things People Have Said After Their Session
Over time, we’ve noticed a few themes in what people share after their session.
These aren’t direct quotes, but they reflect what we often hear:
- “That’s exactly how I’ve been feeling, I just hadn’t put words to it.”
- “It makes me want to go deeper in my own practice.”
- “Now I’m curious to come back in a few months and see if anything’s shifted.”
Aura photography isn’t about labeling you. It’s about noticing. Being with what shows up. And letting that guide whatever you’re ready to explore next.
Is Aura Photography Real?
Some people wonder if aura photography is just a visual novelty or if it’s showing something meaningful. The answer depends on what you’re looking for.
The image is generated using real data—your body’s temperature, electrodermal activity, and other biofeedback markers. That information is translated into colors and chakra representations that reflect subtle patterns in your energy.
It’s not a diagnosis or a fixed label. But for many people, the process is surprisingly validating. What shows up often matches what they’ve been feeling—and sometimes, it surfaces insights they hadn’t fully named yet.
It’s less about proving something to the mind, and more about noticing what resonates with the heart.
